The alpine hut "Fundneralm" of family Wallner is also known as Fundner Heimalm and is located on approx. 1400m in the Leidalm area of ??Bad Hofgastein. The fresh products such as milk, cheese, farmers' bread, bacon or sausages come from own production, of course there are also self-made schnapps. The daily fresh Pofesen or Bauernkrapfen are considered an insider tip.
The children feel especially at the small stream and the petting animals well.
The Fundneralm is easy to reach, eg by car or on foot to the Brandnerhof in Wieden, from here in about 1 hour along the forest path, which is used as a toboggan run in winter, to a signposted turnoff to the right to the Fundneralm.
Or you can take the Schlossalmbahn to the middle station and walk over an almost level hiking trail in about 30 minutes to the Fundneralm.
Also from the mountain station Kleine Scharte you can walk about 2 hours over the Brandner Hochalm to the Fundneralm downhill, this path is the most difficult variant.
